Locations of Natural Beauty
The locations Arvanitsa, Pablouki, Fouskes, Honi and Noraho are very beautiful. “Arvanitsa is a table-land of special natural beauty, which attracts many people during the whole year. The great extend of ground, the huge firs, the natural green which covers the whole region, the flatness of the ground are suggested for many events, concerts, school excursions, pick-nick, walks, paths, football. Everybody is welcome in Arvanitsa”.
At the location Pablouki, the dominating mountains are combined with the view to the gulf of Zaltsa and the indented coasts of the Corinthian gulf. “Fouskes competes with Arvanitsa, however the access to Fouskes is difficult, since there is only a dirt-road leading there. Many years ago, some people had the idea to develop the area and they named it New Switzerland! Honi, which is the passage that links Kyriaki to Arvanitsa and separates the mountain Elikonas in two parts (the north one and the south one), is the ideal place for cottages among the firs. Almost the whole area belongs to the residents of Kyriaki. Few years ago, they cultivated their lands with cereals, legumes and vineyards. Noraho, is another table-land remaining undeveloped. The new asphalt road that links Kyriaki to the capital of the Prefecture, Livadia, passes through Noraho. Once upon, on this place, ceramic kilns used to be operated, where the tired workers satisfied their thirst at the spring that still exists, going up and down the hard-accessing sheep track of Kakia Skala”.
